  • Responsible for the supervision and operation of the blackjack game.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all the tasks of the Blackjack Dealers and Blackjack Floor Persons.
  • Responsible for overseeing the activities of the dealers and customers to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the blackjack operation.
  • Supervises the Dealers and Blackjack Floor Persons and provides assistance as required.
  • Maintains alertness at all times.
  • Observes play and table procedures for clean and clear dealing, accurate payouts, color changes, cash transactions, and tips.
  • Verifies and authorizes cash transactions, color changes, and payouts.
  • Observes cheques flow, and maintains proper records.
  • Observes and informs appropriate managers of any questionable activity of the Dealers and/or the customers.
  • Knowledge of and enforcement of blackjack policies and procedures.
  • Recommends changes, additions, or deletions to the appropriate supervisors.
  • Supervision of staff includes the selection and retention of subordinates, approving and disapproving leave requests, scheduling, evaluating performance, determining training needs, disciplining, etc.
  • Arbitrates disputes between customers, Dealers, Blackjack Floor Persons.
  • Handles the problems whenever possible; if necessary contacts the Floor Manager, the Operations Manager, or the Security Manager. Documents any action taken.
  • Conducts or participates in meetings with staff as necessary.
  • Recognizes that employees have certain personal responsibilities, which affect the operational efficiency of the Casino.
  • Maintains proper attendance in accordance with Casino policy.
  • Reports to work on time in accordance with Casino policy. Provides adequate notice to supervisor prior to absence or lateness in accordance with Casino policy.
  • Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Casino, and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of every person (visitors, co-employees.)
  • Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, we require employees to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as management sees the necessity. Some assignments may not be listed in this description at this time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing, the ability to maintain alertness, good manual dexterity and the ability to communicate orally with a clear, distinctive voice are required.
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions including work in a smoking environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills.
  • Ability to make mathematical computations quickly and accurately.
  • Appropriate licensure and training required under Fond du Lac Ordinance and Tribal/State Compact.
  • Ability to handle cheques quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lead and supervise effectively.
  • Previous blackjack or Casino experience.
  • Incumbent is subject to acomprehensive background check.
  • Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays.
  • Subject to drug testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Employee Drug and Alcohol Policy.
